After displaying the newly printed, by Frames USA, Glendale Chamber banner (for use at special events) Jenny Dennis asked attendees to introduce themselves and greeted new members & guests.
Secretary, Jenny Kilgore:
Copies of the March Chamber meeting were distributed, Sabrina Sevier moved for
approval, Robin Thomas moved to second, member vote approved.
President, Jenny Dennis:
In John Smith’s absence Jenny reported: Balance 4.16.2014: $7,238.73.
Kevin Wilhelm, Harry Whiting Brown Community Center
The Pavilion Summer Concert Series kick-off, June 7, will be Chamber Night
Kevin gave a brief summary of opportunity to promote chamber or individual businesses
Tables set up at east site
Potential to reach thousands of attendees through merchant’s electronic client lists
HWB & merchants cooperatively promote if chamber members provide dinner options
Janet Lawson, Vice President & Street Fair Chair, update:
Rail House is using some of their distributors providing a beer trailer capable of providing a variety
of up to 12 craft beers
Dan Satto, Mad Tree Beer, owner of beer trailer, and Ben Reicher, Cavalier Distributer,
discussed promotional materials, beers, suggested cost/glass &/or stein.
Possibility of promoting the Street Fair at the Annual Beer & Wine Even
Scheduled September 27, noon to 11PM,
Pavilion will be utilized noon to 6PM,
Zoo demonstrations (possibly utilizing the gazebo) 1 to 3:30PM.
Janet seeking sponsors (booth & space charges cover basic event costs), exploring a
tiered sponsorship program
Jay Silberman scheduling entertainment
Natalie Lotspeich is organizing Pavilion schedule
Mike Burnham is recruiting volunteers
Janet Lawson & Dave Agricola are responsible for vendor assignments
Bob Roncker, Running Spot, reported on the progress of plans for a “Race The Train”
youth event along Greenville; back up is Race the Fire Truck.
10th Annual Antique Car Show – June 22nd:
Planning meeting 4.21, 5:30PM at Ralph Hoop’s home
Chamber is sponsoring & expects a strong presence
Reinstate Business After Hours: Denni Agricola in interested in hosting
Monthly Sidewalk Sale, Robin Thomas
Robin encourages merchants to organize and open for a monthly sidewalk sale on a
regular date, i.e.; 2nd Saturday of each month, May through September
Chamber members promote using customer list blasts
