Vice President, Janet Lawson: As stimulus to increase membership a drawing for $25 worth of membership bucks (credit to be spent at a member business) was conducted; Jena Yee of Pink Ink was the lucky winner. There was discussion regarding re-establishing a quarterly attendance drawing.
Secretary, Jenny Kilgore: The February Minutes were read & approved in Jenny Kilgore’s absence.
Treasurer, John Smith: Bills paid totaling $414.05 Membership dues deposited totaling $900.00 Balance 2.12.2014: $6,866.21
President, Jenny Dennis: Financial reviews for 2012 & 2013 are complete & available upon request. Opportunities for Chamber Involvement:
‘After Hours’: In order to coordinate any businesses that would like to host ‘An After Hours’ event, please sign-up with dates & times. 3rd Annual Block the Sun Run in Glendale, hosted by The Andy Caress Melanoma Foundation (Bob Caress), May 10, 5:30PM, details presented by Tori Amongero. 500 gift bags will be given to participants; anyone who would like to contribute may do so at the Running Spot. Advertising for the event, Robin Allgeyer & Tracy Johnson, to include posters distributed among businesses. Race the Train for younger participants. An expanded event will include music –The Thundermug Band, beer, food, & auction items 10th Annual Antique Car Show – June 22nd, details presented by Steve Locker & Rodger Brown.

The 2014 car show is targeting ‘high end’ collector cars: Concord Elegance Class. A beer license will be purchase, the organization to sell the beer yet undecided. Sweeneys’, Kerrys’, 5/3 Bank, & Pete Chronis are underwriting this event. Introducing a new Black Squirrel Award. Promotion to include sponsors on placemats at GHP’s 22nd Annual Pancake Breakfast, March 22nd, 7:30 to noon, if interested contact Dr. Todd. The judging will be done by Quality Judging. Boy scouts will direct traffic; fire department grill will be downwind on Greenville Avenue. There was discussion regarding a chamber presence, should we have a booth? 50th Annual Glendale Street Fair – September 27th Harry Whiting Brown has agreed to allow use of property in exchange of 1 ½ booth space. Jay Silberman is organizing the music, several bands already on list. Save the Date cards, donated by FrameUSA, will be completed this week.
