Meeting called to order 8:30AM
The meeting began with round-table introductions, distribution of attendance sign-in, and approval of the May minutes, drafted by Jenny Dennis.

Treasurer:
John Smith reported that after accumulating some street fair booth deposits & the chamber donation to the car
show the current balance is $8,258.78.
Brief discussion regarding verification of a 2013 invoice for website maintenance & update.
Chamber members are invited – encouraged – to submit a photo representing her or his business to Janet Lawson, [email protected], to compile and forward to webmaster.
2014 Chamber sponsored Street Fair: September 27, noon to 11PM.
Music/bands are currently being scheduled: current Landmark Quartette, Balderdash, & Robin Lagy.
Rail House is using some of their distributors providing a beer trailer capable of providing a variety of craft &
light beers.
There was brief discussion regarding beer tickets - all $5, varying glass size for specific types of beers; utilizing
chamber members, zoo, & Mad Tree customer lists to promote event, and logistics for venders power
needs.
Susan Kreuzmann is assisting to seek sponsors (booth & space charges cover basic event costs)
Possibility of promoting the Street Fair at the Annual Beer & Wine Event - September 27, noon to 11PM,
Zoo demonstrations at the gazebo 1 to 3:30PM.
10th Annual Car Show: June 22, 11AM to 4PM
Chamber business members are invited – encouraged – to open during this event.
1st Tuesdays – Business After-Hours:
Chamber business members are invited – encouraged – to ‘adopt’ a 1st Tuesday of a month.
This is an opportunity to socialize, improve network, bring patrons into Glendale.
Need host for July, Running Spot will host August 5th, 6 to 8PM
2nd Saturdays – Sidewalk Sale
Chamber business members are invited – encouraged – to participate in extending her or his businesses out onto the side walk in front of the store every month on the 2nd Saturday – weather permitting.
Harry Whiting Brown Summer Concert Series – every Saturday, 6.7 through 7.30, 6 to 9PM.

Chamber business members are invited – encouraged – to remain open until 7PM; HWB is encouraged to
promote as ‘Come early & shop our village.’
The meeting closed with brief brainstorming regarding an intern search, a media savvy student who could
manage chamber promotions & social media.
5th Annual Christmas on the Square, 2014, will be hosted by Harry Whiting Brown, suggestion made to link chamber photo file to HWB website.
