Special Presentation
Wally Cordes introduced Mike Frey. Mr. Frey is heading the Village Streetscape Project. He provided a general timeline of the project that he hoped would begin as soon as next week. He explained the general movement of the construction. The plan is to begin at the one way Greenville Ave. entrance into the square proceeding west in front of the Iron Horse. The plans will be posted at the Village office to consult. He explained that at all times they will attempt to keep access to all business, however, parking will be limited when work is being done in front of the business. He will have the foreman of the project introduce himself to all business owners being affected by the construction and Mr. Frey asked that all concerns be brought to his attention and whenever possible it will be resolved.
General questions and discussion followed.
General Announcements and Update
Economic Development
Catherine Fitzgerald explained the plans for first Wednesdays in Glendale. The village, HWB and the Chamber have agreed to join forces offering an evening of food, entertainment and shopping. There will be signage advertising the events and the hope is that this will encourage more activity in the square for all to enjoy and benefit. The event will run from 6-9. Another is planned for September 1st.
Street Fair
Janet Lawson presented update on the plans specifically asking for input on the signage. She also hopes to expand the postcard mailing list by looking for additional databases should any business like to merge for the event.

Sheri Kohnle updated all on the progress she has made. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st and will start earlier in the day with hopes of drawing more participants.
