Board Reports:
President: Sherri Kohnle expressed appreciation to the Piccolo staff for again hosting the meeting and
requested that in a roundtable format each attendee introduce themselves.
Treasurer: Beth Lauter reported current balances
Street Fair Account: $3,719.78
Savings Account: $1,922.62
Checking Account: $3,240.17
Secretary: Jenny Kilgore reported that the July minutes are being circulated for edits and corrections in those
who attended.
3rd Beer, Wine, & Food Festival: The date has changed from August 31st through September 2nd to Friday October 12th & Saturday October.13th. The event is looking for sponsors. Discussion ensued questioning the reason for the date change and reliability of these dates: advertising, staffing, ordering stock.
Spooky Pooch Parade (HWB), October 13th, 1 to 5PM (?), Lake Park, pet merchandise vendors and sponsors are secured.
3rd Annual Chamber sponsored Christmas on the Square:
Evening of December 5th. Street Fair proceeds support Christmas on the Square event.
Success dependent upon securing sponsors: the Sweeneys are funding the music, anonymous patron is
paying for the carousel. Consensus supported limiting restaurant vendors to a single restaurant that
would 1provide a hearty winter meal of its choice & 2bring patrons into the chamber beer tent.
Tickets for the HWB Christmas Home Tour should be sold.
HWB Christmas Home Tour: December 8, 11AM to 4PM, after which the business districts on Congress
will host Christmas on Congress; attractions to include carolers, Sana, food trucks, etc. No need for Liquor license if restaurants sell drinks.
Attendees expressed support for both events providing an agreed upon cost ceiling could be reached:
Christmas on the Square: $3,000.
Christmas on Congress: $1,000.

2012 Chamber sponsored Street Fair:

Dave Agricola working with Tom Alosfelder to ensure sufficient electricity Bob Roncker’s AM race is cancelled due to the cost of security
Concern was expressed regarding the expectation for sponsor exposure through displaying event banner – 2 events on same date: Spooky Poch & Beer, Wine, & Food Festival.
General Discussion:
Bridal Mafia held a well attended, successful open-air event in the square on Sunday afternoon, August 12
A suggestion was made to promote the village square as a reception site on Sunday Afternoons; generate money for the village, utilize village businesses
The Haulbauer property at the corner of Sharon & Congress, formerly half zoned residential & half zoned commercial, has been rezone all commercial.
